We are seeking a Maintenance Technician who will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems.

 

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Performs work requiring the specialized skills of at least one of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration, kitchen/laundry, carpentry, and paint/wall covers, locksmith, in addition to performing other general maintenance duties.
  • Services provided include pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal as well as removing broken limbs from wires, roofs, and other objects.
  • Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
  • Performs general repairs. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Responsible for all maintenance for the primary trade, area of expertise.
  • May work with hazardous materials and chemicals in the performance of duty.
  • Uses tools, equipment, materials and chemicals safely and efficiently according to manufacturer’s instructions/MSDS requirements.
  • Checks Maintenance Requests lists, daily for work assignments, at the beginning of and throughout each shift.
  • Managing and repairing of basic building maintenance.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Diagnose maintenance issues and determine best course of repair.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing in a timely manner.
  • Communicates status of job assignments and maintenance requests to supervisor.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Required to wear PPE and follow all safety standards.
  • Notifies supervisor upon completion of work assignment.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED or one year relevant experience.

 

Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills:

  • Possess a strong work ethic and be able to work well with others.
  • Handle multiple high priority tasks in a fast-paced team environment, and requires the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area.
  • Uses tools safely and correctly.
  • Experience with electrical, plumbing, siding, windows, doors, renovations, ground maintenance and basic mechanics.
  • Complies with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and supervisors.
  • A strong mechanical background with hands on journey-level experience in at least two trades (I.e.; HVAC, Plumbing, electrical, or refrigeration) required.

Physical Demands:

  • Strong mechanical background with minimum 2 years hands on experience in maintenance related activity.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift (up to 75 lbs.) repetitively.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Good Mechanical Skills.
  • Good Troubleshooting Skills.
  • Previous training & experience in plumbing equipment.
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees.
  • Must pass Level II background check
