THE ROLE
Gotham Greens is seeking a dynamic Production Supervisor to join our Virginia team. This role will be a critical member of the regional leadership team and will play a foundational role in leading the day-to-day operations of this exciting, state of the art commercial greenhouse.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Oversee, participate in, and assign daily tasks to employees in our Greenhouse and Packhouse teams. Tasks can include harvesting, transplanting, seeding, cleaning, quality control, weighing plants, packing and labelling containers.
- Manage the performance of employees in the facility – identifying our top performers and ensuring that employees are abiding by company policies and practices.
- Create and maintain sage data including assemblies, transfers, adjustments, and inventory.
- Collect, track and maintain logs, inventory, and data for various processes and procedures that require collaborating with departments and teams throughout the company.
- Ensure that all employees are trained on, and are following, Food Safety, Employee Safety, and Worker Protection Standards.
- Work collaboratively with our maintenance team to ensure that all machinery and equipment is performing.
- Foster a safe, productive, and engaging environment in which all our employees can thrive.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of supervisory experience, ideally in the food and beverage industry.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience with ERP systems and inventory control.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and teams.
- Spanish proficiency preferred.
