SUMMARY:  Are you a dynamic, energetic, dependable self starter interested in a career at a progressive community bank with a rich history and a bright future?  1st Security Bank has an opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist - Indirect Sales to join our Consumer Lending team in Mountlake Terrace.  This is an entry level position.  We are looking for an individual with a successful background in customer service and a strong sales aptitude who shares our vision to “wow” customers with exceptional service.  The Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for supporting the sales team.  Responsibilities will include generating qualified leads for the sales team to follow up on and assisting in various projects.    We are looking for a dependable, self-starter who excels at identifying opportunities, building relationships and assisting the sales team.  You will work with home improvement contractors (window, siding, roofing, solar, HVAC, etc.) and marine dealers to develop loyal and trusting business partnerships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Create qualified lists of dealers/contractors that the Account Executive (AE) and Consumer Lending Sales Manager (CLSM) can follow up on.  These can be sourced through the internet, Angie’s List, suppliers, award publications, home shows, manufacturers, trade associations, and others.

  • Prospecting dealers in the West coast territories (research key people, products, current lenders, etc.).

  • Assist with initial contact from Google ad words, landing page leads, and replies from email campaign.

    • Initial contact consists of qualifying dealers and, if a good fit, scheduling a meeting with an AE or CLSM.

  • Manage email campaigns to dealers on lead lists.

    • Email campaigns will consist of 2 or 3 initial contacts followed up by 2 or 3 follow up contacts.

  • Manage annual renewal process with assistance of Consumer Lending underwriting team.

  • Handle requests for completed loan docs, forms and dealer training.

  • Manage and update 1SB’s CRM database (1st Resource) as it relates to dealer prospecting.

  • Manage the distribution lists.  Add dealers and ensure the accuracy of the lists.  Work to expand it so that all dealer contacts are included.

  • Assist with initial onboarding of dealers and ongoing dealer training.

  • Troubleshoot website challenges

  • Assist AE and CLSM on projects.

  • Provide “best in class” service to every customer, both internal and external; adhere to 1st Security Bank policies and support management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Highly motivated, dependable, and ethical.

  • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to interact with the public, in person and by telephone, in a personable, clear, and professional manner.

  • Self starter and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work well under pressure.  Ability to prioritize activities and ensure projects are completed within deadline dates.

  • High level of processing speed, accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage large volumes of documentation and data to mitigate risk and create visibility into actual and potential volumes.

  • A strong understanding of the internet and how to put it to use.

  • Ability to perform daily work according to prescribed schedules with the flexibility to meet department needs.

  • Basic knowledge of all applicable Regulations that pertain to this position is required.

  • Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies, procedures and related programs.

  • Commitment to learning and applying new concepts required.

  • Experience working for a captive auto finance lender (FMCC, GMAC, TMCC, etc.) is a plus.

  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree and 1 year experience within a financial institution with a proven track record of customer service and relationship management.

  • Preferred: ability to read and understand business and personal credit reports and financial statements. Experience interfacing with underwriters.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (including PowerPoint) and other Database software.
