Position:                      Adjunct Instructor Mathematics

Reports To:                 Department Chair

Classification:             Exempt

Core Responsibilities: Teaching 3-6 credit hours or Essential Math Lab. The successful candidate should have experience in teaching courses in Mathematics.

Responsibilities:

• Teach 3–6 hours education-based courses or Essential Math Lab.
• Participating in department activities.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and control the classroom.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.
• Proficient with Blackboard, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's degree in Mathematics, with 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics or related discipline from a regionally accredited institution.
• Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related field is preferred.
• Evidence of teaching potential is essential.
• The ideal candidate will have familiarity with online courses, and the ability to utilize innovative modalities for delivering course content.
