POSITION SUMMARY:

 

We’re looking for a compassionate and experienced licensed professional who is a passionate advocate for recovery and reducing disparities.  As a Group Facilitator - LADC Float  you will be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary Outpatient Treatment Team and provide co-occurring (Chemical & Mental Health) providing clinical treatment counseling to individuals in Avivo’s licensed 245G Outpatient treatment program. This individual is professional, has high standards of ethics, and is committed to a trauma-informed approach to care.

 

The Group Facilitator / Float Counselor  will conduct 245G treatment groups for individuals in Integrated Dual Diagnosis, and Family Outpatient Treatment at Avivo.  This position will ensure all groups are conducted in compliance with 245G using planned curriculum. This individual will work as part of the Avivo Outpatient Treatment Team.  Coverage for Holidays, Avivo staff events / meetings and a Saturday group could also be available.  This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours/week.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct treatment groups for both men and women.
  • Support FTE Caseloads when they are on PTO including all required individual sessions and paperwork that meets 245G requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with 245G and other program expectations.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records (Procentive).
  • Support Avivo mission and maintain productivity expectations.
  • Participate in effective communication and accept supervision with/from supervisor
  • Attend meetings, supervision, and trainings as required.
  • Provide services that meet professional and ethical standards.
  • Attend all meetings and staffing as required.
  • Manage miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Seeking a professional that is either:

  • A)  Dually Licensed: Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LP, LMFT, or LPCC), OR
  • B)  Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or (ADC-T)
  • Must be licensed and in compliance with the appropriate licensure board, i.e. Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy, Board of Social Work, Board of Marriage and Family Therapy, or another licensing board.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting helpful.
  • Training and experience  in 245G  group facilitation required.
  • Two years or more freedom from problematic substance use problems.
  • Experience with an Electronic Health Record, Procentive preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team member with coworkers.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Experience and / or training in trauma informed care beneficial.
