The Content Marketing Manager will lead a team of graphic designers and develop creative and compelling content to support brand awareness and customer engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate content marketer to research, write and edit content that convinces prospects, customers, and partners, educates them on what they should be seeking, and showcases how PFSbrands is the best solution for them. The successful candidate must be well-organized and able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. Must have experience ensuring brand messaging adherence, analyzing content for SEO and campaign performance and influencing others with a clear vision for copywriting and commitment to excellence. This person will be creative, a self-starter, and passionate about content and guiding a cohesive marketing team.

Qualifications

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the creation of marketing content, from defining goals, to writing copy, to working cross-functionally on design and execution. You will write and edit materials including product messaging, web copy, print collateral, emails, blog posts, social media content and more.
  • Manage and mentor our talented and creative group of graphic artists.
  • Support the launch and growth of new products with relevant social/content programs and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Improve overall company profitability by enhancing the company’s visibility thru engaging marketing and PR campaigns.
  • Partner with sales teams to develop wholesaler and retailer plans for all brands and products.
  • Develop, measure, and report on metrics of success.
  • Lead the development of new brands and continued enhancements for all current brands.
  • Establish creative direction and guidelines for each of our brands including the strategy, design of visuals/artwork, copy writing, literature, POS materials, websites, photography, videography, social media, PR and more.
  • Act in a leadership role for the Marketing department providing guidance and support for the team as it relates to project execution, creative strategy, content writing and design. 
  • Collaborate closely with all members of the marketing team along with various departments to fully understand creative scope and needs of projects, and to develop creative strategies, plans, and execution that meet both brand and business goals.  
  • Structure creative processes to achieve the best balance of impact, quality, and productivity.
  • Evaluate market research and industry trends and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
  • Continually seek opportunities for sharpening and expanding the skill set of the Marketing team while exploring and researching advancements in technology. 
  • Compile, analyze, and report marketing effort effectiveness analytics to the Director Marketing.
  • Protect, promote and enhance the PFSbrands culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Fine Art or related field; or equivalent experience with proven record of success required
  • Graduate degree preferred
  • Superb business writing and editing skills (copy writing) with a Marketing/Sales mindset
  • Ability to lead, manage and inspire
  • Deep understanding of layouts, graphic fundamentals, and typography
  • A strong working knowledge and experience in brand development, copy writing, design, photography and video production
  • Exceptional portfolio, demonstrating visuals and communications executed to a very high level of impact and refinement
  • Outstanding leadership and organization skills
  • Strong project management skills with changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment; ability to lead projects from concept to completion
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal staff and develop strong business relationships
  • Innovative and forward-thinking; able to progress the company’s vision
  • A team player that is supportive of other company employees
  • Avid learner and researcher who takes ownership of their professional development in their job and career
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Suite products.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work is typically performed in normal office conditions.
  • Able to travel overnight occasionally – less than 25%
