Position Summary

The Clinical Pathologist will assume assume relationship building, lab management, and directorships with associated clinical labs. This individual should expect heavy clinical pathology responsibility comprising up to 50-75% of their time. This individual will hold 3-5 CLIA licenses including large hospital laboratories. Hematopathology, Clinical Chemistry, and Gastrointestinal experience preferred.  We will prioritize candidates with experience fostering collaborative relationships with clinicians, medical technologists, and PhD’s. 5+ years General Surgical, and/or clinical path experience preferred although current or recent fellows with experience as chief resident and requisite strengths encouraged to apply. AP/CP board certification/eligibility is required.

Requirements and Qualifications


  • Must meet Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska state licensing requirements.
  • Pathologist with sub-specialty training from an accredited program.
  • Board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) with experience in hospital based pathology.
  • Experienced CP Preferred
  • MD in good standing

  • Ability to communicate with high level decision makers in the organization
  • Personal adaptability and ability to lead change.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Prolonged sitting
  2. Computer use
  3. Must be able to perform significant periods of diagnostic work thru visual inspection using a microscope
  4. Must be able to fully utilize a microscope using hands and eyes
  5. Must be able to stand at table up to 2 hours
