ABOUT THIS POSITION

Schedule/Hours: Seasonal Full-Time

 

This position is responsible for:

 

Performs a variety of housekeeping duties for a camp; cleans restrooms, offices, and other camp facilities; washes, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the camp facilities on a daily basis.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Cleans camp facilities and offices; collects, washes, folds, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the accountability of linens. Maintains staff laundry schedule on rotation as well as daily laundering of staff laundry.

 

  • Washes all linens from dining room after each meal and ensure linen is restocked. Washes camper’s laundry and return to counselor.

 

  • Assists in securing linens for campers without proper linens. Monitors light fixtures to ensure all light bulbs are in working order; replace light bulbs as necessary.

 

  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, mops and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks.

 

  • Participates enthusiastically as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights and other all-camp activities and camp functions.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

 

  • Some physical requirements of the Camp Housekeeper position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate activities are required.  Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available.  Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions.

 

Additional Information:

 

Camp Staff Orientation will be held 06/15/2026 – 06/21/2026 and participation is required. The 2026 summer Camp program session will be held 06/22/2026 – 07/27/2026. If you are unable to work the entire season, please let us know on your application.

Licenses and Certifications:

CPR and First Aide Certification
