Description

SUMMARY: Encompass Administrator and Manager position with a small support staff and about 200 users.  Responsible for all activities required for the maintenance, operation, and functionality of the home lending division Encompass Loan Origination System.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Works with IT to maintain and issue user setups, personas and roles;
  • Manage Encompass changes in testing environment to test and track updates and changes;
  • Schedule updates to live environment, including user announcements and training;
  • Maintain business rules for data entry, workflow progression and regulatory compliance as requested by each business group;
  • Maintain loan setup settings as applicable to ongoing business needs;
  • Organize and facilitate user training as directed by Home Lending managers;
  • Work with Encompass and third party vendors to maintain interfaces;
  • Works with Home Lending Operations to build workflows and processes to supplement ongoing home lending operations;
  • Coordinate implementation of custom integrations as needed;
  • Maintain loan programs/products in collaboration with Secondary Marketing to ensure accurate guidelines, program codes, loan template settings and loan program documents are available for all loan products within the Encompass system;
  • Monitor and maintain system security across all users and groups to standards defined by applicable regulation;
  • Maintain complete document library and build custom documents as needed;
  • Maintain electronic loan folder functionality and settings to ensure preservation of a complete paperless environment and requisite document retention;
  • Maintain complete report library and build custom reports as needed;
  • Maintain library of workflow templates, screens and custom data fields;
  • Prepare reporting for audit and regulatory examination processes ;
  • Review requests for updates, changes and customization from internal users as provided by help desk; review all requests with Encompass advisory group, to represent Underwriting, Processing, Funding, Shipping, Secondary Marketing, Origination, Compliance, Loan Operations (servicing) and all other departments as needed;
  • Maintain change management logs to document all changes per SOX requirements;
  • Maintain and ensure system is current and compliant with regulations including RESPA, TILA, Dodd-Frank, Safe Act, Regulation Z, Appraisal Independence along with any other pertinent regulatory requirements; and
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years Encompass Administrator experience.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred and a minimum of five years in home lending experience;
  • Prior experience working with Loan officers through loan scenarios strongly preferred;
  • Presentation skills at Production, Operations and Executive Levels;
  • Strong analytical and communication skills including written and verbal skills;
  • Working knowledge of Investor, Agency, Non-agency and Mortgage Insurance guidelines/products; and
  • Mortgage loan origination system knowledge.
  • General computer application experience including Word, Excel, outlook, etc;
  • Work independently and in a cooperative team environment; and
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required. 

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office Products.  Individual should also be able to embrace loan operating systems working to support/improve/and grow loan operating systems to maximize their success at 1st Security Bank.  Employee should also work with other programs in order to grow Home Lending.
