Carpenter/Facilities Technician

JOB TITLE: Carpenter/Facilities Technician

REPORTS TO: Construction and Facilities Maintenance Manager

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance


SALARY RANGE: $19-$20/Hour



Performs carpentry construction, repair and re-modeling projects. Assists in repairs of systems and appliances. Serves in rotation as facilities maintenance technician during park operating hours. Participates in oversight and maintenance of all facilities located in the park.



  • Repairs and maintains buildings and other wooden structures throughout the property
  • Plans and builds new projects as requested
  • Ensures all buildings and facilities are maintained in a proper manner
  • Assist all departments when needed.
  • Participates in construction, demolition, repair and remodeling of park facilities and attractions.
  • Required to use typical carpentry tools.
  • Lifts and carries lumber and other building materials.
  • Manages job site clean-up.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing and speech.
  • Requires standing, kneeling and bending.
  • Requires ability to operate vehicles in park.
  • Must be able to work around maintenance equipment in a ventilated area.
  • Requires walking, reaching above shoulder, pushing and pulling.
  • Requires outdoor work in all seasons and weather conditions.
  • Requires frequent lifts and carries up to 20 pounds.
  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires occasional carries up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.

  • Must possess good oral and written English language and grammar skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in typical carpentry tools.
  • Must be goal oriented and possess strong attention to detail, positive attitude, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
