The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for system design, planning, implementation monitoring, and maintaining critical systems. This position ensures availability, performance metrics, change control, manage releases, test, and security controls are aligned with Avivo and industry standards. Will identify methods, solutions, and provide project leadership to deliver a high level of service to the internal customers of information technology systems, which will include training and awareness.   The Avivo Information Technology Division strives to provide innovative technology solutions to better support our staff and mission, while also enhancing our client and participant experience.



  • Manage and support end-users via the help desk.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and guides for new and/or existing solution implementations.
  • Drives projects to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate and build positive relationships across multiple stakeholders.
  • Utilize Agile thinking and analysis that leads to win-win and innovative process improvements.
  • Consistently apply or develop the concepts of appropriate standard methodologies and best practices for network security.
  • Quickly and accurately identify or triage security events and incidents to stop (or prevent) immediate threats.
  • Apply a strong understanding of information security technology, especially relating to network tool functions.
  • Prepare reports, record progress and create solutions to IT problems/issues.
  • Design training for technology deployments.
  • Promote and support involvement in the organization’s commitment to undoing racism and reducing disparities.
  • Ensure that staff builds and maintains strong cultural competencies through training and coaching. 
  • Strong knowledge and troubleshooting experience layer 2-7 protocols and technologies
  • Advanced Setup, configuration, and operation of software and hardware based on specialty related to:
    • Networking devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
    • Servers (Windows 2016, 2019)
    • Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server, SQL Server
    • Wireless access points, Network printers, NAS devices
    • SAN / Storage systems, VMware Hypervisor
    • Cloud Solutions:  Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Intune, and Teams.
    • Content filtering, Intrusion Prevention, Vulnerability Management tools, Client VPN, MFA etc.)
    • Backup management solutions, Virtualized systems
  •  Minimum of 5 years of industry specific experience.
  • Must have proven track record working with applications listed in Responsibilities section.
  • Additional industry or application specific certifications will be considered.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune or equivalent MDM.
  • Experience ensuring security compliance and developing data loss prevention policies.
  • Knowledge and experience with Power BI and SQL for real-time reporting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Capable of independent travel with valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex and ever-changing data.
  • Ability to assess and solve problems, make decisions, and work independently as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff members at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to accept feedback from supervisors and peers.
  • Ability to maintain positive presence in a fast paced, demanding, multi-service environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing service needs.
