The Group Fitness Instructor leads fitness classes of varying levels at the YMCA and Family Wellness locations in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment. Promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

  • Leads energizing, fun, safe, prompt and educational fitness classes.
  • Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living.
  • Builds effective, authentic relationships with members; helps members connect with each other and the YMCA and Family Wellness.
  • Sets up and takes down all necessary equipment for class.
  • Keeps accurate class attendance records.
  • Attends required staff meetings and training.

Part Time, Day Shifts Available Between 8:15 am-1:00 pm

Seeking Yoga, Strength, and Aerobic Training Instructors (Les Mills BodyCombat, BodyPump, BodyAttack)


We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.  Group Fitness Certification and/or class format specific certification required (For Example:  Water Aerobics, ACE, NASM, FitTour, Les Mills, ZUMBA etc.) CPR & First Aid within first 90 days of employment required.  Fitness instruction experience preferred.  Ability to provide group fitness classes for the YMCA/Family Wellness network only required. Outside similar services are considered a conflict of interest.
