The Corporate Procurement Officer primary responsibility will be to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward corporate donors giving gifts-in-kind (GIK). This individual develops relationships with a portfolio of individuals who can facilitate the donation of GIK from their corporations to support and enhance the work of the Mission. We emphasize personal contact with corporate representatives through engagement points such as visits, tours, events, phone/video calls, email, and personal correspondence and requires regular engagement away from the office interacting with prospective and existing corporate donors.






  • Manage a portfolio of Corporate GIK donors and prospects by:
    • Proactively communicating with and caring for new and existing corporate donors, making and tracking daily meaningful conversations, and meeting activity goals.
    • Developing relationships with lapsed corporate donors to reactivate them
    • Developing and implementing engagement strategies for donors and prospects in the corporate procurement portfolio.
    • Soliciting corporate donors for GIK and/or product discounts on behalf of the Mission.
    • Communicating with corporate donors about Missions programs, needs, and the impact of GIK.
  • Work with Program and Warehouse staff to identify and meet GIK needs, including:
    • Identify ongoing and seasonal needs in the Mission.
    • Assess whether needs can best be met through GIK, product discounts, or bulk buying and implement strategies to meet those needs.
    • Identify and contact corporate prospects for GIK, product discounts, and bulk buying.
    • Work with Warehouse Manager and Operations Supervisor for inventory control and tracking.
  • Keep complete and accurate records and produce reports on corporate donation activities, including:
    • Product needs throughout the year for each Mission department and program site.
    • Receipting and recording incoming donations.
    • Tracking corporate donor activity in the database.
  • Identify and complete relevant GIK and small grant applications
  • Initiate large-scale GIK drives and events in conjunction with the Development and Marketing Teams.
  • Build partnerships with other nonprofits and GIK organizations to share resources in addressing the homeless crisis in King County.
  • Represent the Mission when called upon to speak to small groups, schools, or clubs. Professionally articulate the Missions vision and values verbally and in writing to prospects and current donors.
  • Increase personal knowledge of the fundraising profession.
  • Attend and participate in all Mission, Division, and Department meetings and training, as required.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.

 Qualifications & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Three or more years of experience in Development and/or Sales
  • Proficient to advanced computer skills with prior experience working with software like
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel


Work Environment


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time in a temperature-controlled environment.  Occasionally will stand, balance, twist, stoop, kneel and reach with hands/arms.  Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds and walks, use stairways to climb to multiple floors within the company.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
