Position Summary

Provide administrative support to the Director of Accreditation. This is a part-time position of 20 hours per week.

This position may require working from home, within a short distance to Snellville, GA, or Charlotte, NC, and within a short distance to a major airport.

Essential Duties

  • Maintain database of all accredited schools, run queries and reports as needed
  • Support accreditation staff and schools through emails, phone calls, and mail correspondence
  • Coordinate accreditation visits (schedule school visits, assign chairs/team members, maintain ePlatform information)
  • Assist with event preparations and attend training and regional commission meetings
  • Maintain regional office website as it pertains to accreditation
  • Manage reports such as Annual Reports and others pertaining to states, regional accrediting bodies, Colorado Springs office (may involve reading, editing, filing, corresponding)
  • Answer basic questions for schools regarding other programs that support accreditation such as certification, School-based Professional Development, ConNexus, etc.
  • Order and track accreditation supplies and recognition items, marketing/promotional pieces
  • Attend Accreditation staff meetings
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Experience and Education

  • Three or more years of experience in an office environment
  • Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with accreditation leaders in each school
  • Mastery of computer applications including Word, Excel, Access, cloud-based programs and other database applications
  • Disciplined time management
  • Organizational skills for detailed project assignments
  • Work independently without direct supervision present
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Find resolutions to challenges as they arise

 Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to four times a year for two to three days
  • Driver’s License required to be kept current and in effect as a condition of employment
  • Employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, talk and hear
  • Essential duties require the use of computers to process information
  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to read at close range and distinguish colors and contrasts
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
