We are currently looking for someone within the renewable energy sector, or someone with a passion to enter this growing market, to fill the role of Marketing Manager to lead and align our marketing activities with the companys strategic growth plan.

This role is full-time and will be located at our corporate headquarters in Hopkinton, MA. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated marketing professional with the experience to collaborate effectively with the organizations leadership and develop/implement programs that drive customer acquisition, retention, and growth. Skills include campaign management, content and digital marketing, vendor selection and marketing data analysis. The role requires familiarity with industry best practice marketing tools to help drive brand awareness and customer acquisition. This position will report into the CDO (Chief Development Officer). This is a unique opportunity for a self-starting industry professional to join a dynamic and growing team and participate in the solar (PV) industry from the ground up.

Key Functions

  • Annual Marketing plan preparation, including budget and short and long-term strategy. Provide monthly updates to CDO on performance against budget.
  • Coordinate with parent company marketing resources, and company directives, to create and maintain consistent corporate brand/image voice cross product lines, events, and promotional materials, and throughout company departments.
  • Supervise operations of companys email program and website on a daily basis, and also perform analytics reviews.
  • Spot new marketing opportunities for company and carry out marketing initiatives.
  • Responsible for planning of company promotional and advertising communications projects such as electronic, print, and special events to execute parts of the marketing plan.
  • Partner with relevant personnel on events/programs.
  • Create relevant reports on marketing programs, including campaign results, post-event reports, SRO performance, and incoming lead generation. Measure performance against goals and budget.
  • Manage the design, production, and distribution of collateral and promotional materials to aid companys sales and marketing programs.
  • As required, hire and manage contractors, including copywriters, advertising and marketing agencies, and external consultants.
  • Apply various social media tactics in creating brand awareness and generating inbound traffic that strengthens companys social media presence.
  • Create original, error free, clear, and concise copy for website content, promotional materials, blog entry, and newsletter that ensures compelling and effective communication.
  • Facilitate the drone aerial photo program for customer testimonials and success stories.
  • Identify key industry and regional tradeshows to attend with the sales team to drive customer demand.
  • Take the lead to prepare content, collateral, and event materials on behalf of the company.
  • Monitor the business and competitive landscape to identify best practices for marketing into the solar market. Be familiar with the companys solar value proposition and how to project it to the market.
  • Partner with business and sales operations to design, develop, and fully manage campaigns to drive lead generation and customer acquisition in target markets.


  • Experience with B2B marketing at a commercial market level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to evangelize and articulate the companys visions and value proposition.
  • Comprehensive marketing skills social media, web, tools and industry best practices.
  • Able to design, manage, and monitor marketing campaigns across internal and external entities.
  • Ability to identify and manage vendors to contract marketing services as needed.
  • Comfortable delivering presentations to Senior Leaders and Customers.
  • Belief and commitment to the new Green Economy.

Desired Skills

  • Understanding of Zoominfo, Hubspot,, Eloqua, etc.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or liberal arts is required.
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience with integrated marketing, demand generation, content marketing, and/or product marketing.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Solar Industry business experience is desirable.
  • Strong skills in campaign planning, execution, and tracking.
  • Experience with WordPress and other Web content management tools.
  • Strong familiarity with SEO and Google Analytics tools.
  • Basic marketing skills utilizing social media, email and direct marketing, content creation, communications, and lead generation.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across functions sales, operations, IT.
  • Data-informed approach to marketing coupled with strong analytical skills.
  • Enthusiasm and positive attitude are a must!
