Senior Credit Analyst

The Senior Credit Analyst will review creditworthiness of individuals or businesses, particularly for more complex and sophisticated transactions, to determine the risk involved in lending money or extending credit.

• As a supervisor, may hire, train and manage other credit analyst team members
• Analyzes credit data and financial statements of individuals or businesses to identify the degree of risk involved in the proposed or existing credit facility.
• For businesses, compares to similar businesses in terms of liquidity, profitability, and credit histories.
• Uses computer software to evaluate customers financial status and produce financial ratios.
• Compiles information, completes loan approval memos, and composes reports detailing the degree of risk involved in the loan or credit request; recommends approval or denial based on results.
• Completes annual reviews and loan updates.
• Manages Loan pipeline, Work in Process, and works close with credit admin on technical and policy exception reporting.
• Works closely with loan officers to identify and clear technical exceptions.
• Works with Chief Credit Officer on portfolio risk management and reporting by identifying adversely criticized or classified loans through review of loan files.
• Works with Chief Credit Officer in evaluating concentration levels by geographic and type.
• Prepares necessary documents, pushes out notifications and takes minutes for Loan Committee Meeting(s).
• Follows all applicable bank policies and regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• 3-5 years experience in commercial lending or other related areas.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
