Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree required, advanced degree or relevant professional certification preferred
- Three to five years of progressive fundraising or grant writing experience required; public policy experience is a plus
- Three to five years of direct staff supervision experience
- History of developing and maintaining strategic partnerships
- Exceptional skill in comprehension, analysis, and technical writing, including the ability to articulate and explain complex funding and financial issues in a clear, non-technical manner
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills; ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment and proven experience managing large-scale projects
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Position Qualifications
- Knowledge of government funding opportunities at local, state, and federal levels
- Knowledge of foundation and corporate funding landscape for homeless/social service agencies

- Demonstrated success as a team player, including the ability to develop and maintain a goal-oriented, positive attitude throughout the organization
- Ability to comfortably interface with Board Members, Leadership, donors, and general DWC community
- Compassion and understanding of DWCs unique approach to service provision
