This position is designed for people who are looking to start their career in sales. Sales trainees will learn the skills needed to succeed in any sales role here at Crown Distributors. Trainees are put through a structured training program including working with managers, chain, on and off premise representatives, and cross-training with other departments to prepare them to move into a more permanent sales role.
Trainees work with others on customer accounts to ensure customer satisfaction. This position will stock shelves, build displays, ensure stores are stocked, and overall quality assurance of products while working for accounts.
Once through the basic training the position will assist the Chain, On and Off premise pre-sales teams as assigned by the Sales Trainee Manager while continuing education on advanced sales skills such as opening accounts, building contacts, closing, and more.
Assists in liquor and grocery store re-sets as assigned by the manager.
Aggressively solicit and secure primary positions of Crown brand permanent and paper P.O.S.
Performs major merchandising projects assisting the managers and pre-sales staff. Position requires a significant amount of physical activity
Responsible for understanding and complying with all quality assurance guidelines of Crown.
Takes on special projects as assigned by the manager; i.e., supplier retail surveys, crew drives, “short week” assistance, etc.
Develop and maintain excellent customer rapport.
Submit all required reports neatly and on time.
Responsible for adhering to State and Crown credit regulations and policies and collects outstanding debts as requested by Crown management.
Maintains proper upkeep of Company vehicles and observes safe driving habits when operating all Company vehicles.
Responsible, detail-oriented, passionate about quality
Ability to lift 35 pounds repetitively
Ability to push, pull, or lift 165 pounds occasionally
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
Clean driving record
Ability to use 2-wheeler/hand cart
Outgoing personality, ability to communicate with customers professionally
College degree is preferred but not required
General knowledge of beer
The ideal candidate will live within 30 miles of either Topeka or Manhattan
