As the CDL Driver for YMCA’s Day Summer Camps, you get the amazing opportunity to facilitate youth development by safely transporting children to various field trips throughout the summer season. Make a difference in a child’s life today by giving them the best summer camp experience possible!

  • Guaranteed 9-hour shift
  • Safely transport all program participants from program site to field trip destinations
  • Perform daily preventive maintenance checks, and ensure respect and cleanliness of the facility and bus.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive environment for students and coworkers.
  • Attend and participate in all staff trainings and events as needed.
  • Accept and demonstrate the core values of the YMCA, which are caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with parents, children, fellow staff members, and school personnel.
  • Have a complete knowledge of emergency procedures appropriate for the transportation of children to ensure the safety of all students.


  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • A CDL with a P endorsement is required.
  • Must possess health endorsement.
  • Must be able to stand and/or be active for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to clearly see, hear, and speak.
  • Required to completed CPR and First Aid Training, paid by YMCA.
  • Must complete state fingerprint background check
  • Must be able to travel 50 yards in 30 seconds.
