POSITION SUMMARY
As the CDL Driver for YMCA’s Day Summer Camps, you get the amazing opportunity to facilitate youth development by safely transporting children to various field trips throughout the summer season. Make a difference in a child’s life today by giving them the best summer camp experience possible!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Guaranteed 9-hour shift
- Safely transport all program participants from program site to field trip destinations
- Perform daily preventive maintenance checks, and ensure respect and cleanliness of the facility and bus.
- Maintain a positive and supportive environment for students and coworkers.
- Attend and participate in all staff trainings and events as needed.
- Accept and demonstrate the core values of the YMCA, which are caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Communicate effectively and positively with parents, children, fellow staff members, and school personnel.
- Have a complete knowledge of emergency procedures appropriate for the transportation of children to ensure the safety of all students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma.
- A CDL with a P endorsement is required.
- Must possess health endorsement.
- Must be able to stand and/or be active for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Must be able to clearly see, hear, and speak.
- Required to completed CPR and First Aid Training, paid by YMCA.
- Must complete state fingerprint background check
- Must be able to travel 50 yards in 30 seconds.
