Description

The Supervisor of Compliance will be in charge of coordinating staff responsible for handling compliance audits and tasks. Essential job duties include recruiting and training employees, providing guidance, taking disciplinary action when needed, conducting employee appraisal programs, and reporting to managers.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise the daily activities of Compliance Analysts.
  • Coordinate preparation and submission of timely and accurate regulatory filings involving multi-department or cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, managing deliverables from the design process through completion.
  • Maintain LIBERTY’s Compliance Central system, including coordinating all triage notifications and requests, routing to and working with business owners, ensuring high quality timely deliverables.
  • Coordinate all aspects of client and regulatory audit preparation and the development of reports/tools to monitor and track implementation and completion of corrective action plans.
  • Communicate and collaborate with business areas to analyze regulatory guidelines and deliver the appropriate artifacts as needed.
  • Maintain a compliance dashboard, weekly compliance status summaries, compliance status tracking tools, etc. 
  • Lead large, complex projects to achieve a variety of compliance objectives.
  • Interpret and analyze state and federal regulatory guidance.
  • Work with operational leaders within the business to provide recommendations on opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Healthcare Compliance related certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of progressive regulatory compliance and oversight experience.
  • Direct experience with Medicaid or Medicare programs, including experience with internal and regulatory audits
  • Recent and direct experience with DMHC Compliance/Audits preferred.

Specific Skills/Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Versed in HIPAA and other federal and state laws that pertain to managed care.
  • Knowledge of dental benefits is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively delegate daily workload and constantly reassess staff priorities based on business needs.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, and in a fast-paced environment.

Environment and/or Physical Factors:

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Sedentary work involves extensive sitting, typing, close range vision most of the time.
