Worship Leader - Summit En Espanol Campus

Summary of Position

Strives to create more and better worshippers of Jesus by embodying and executing Summit Worship DNA and leading the congregation and volunteer teams in worship by example and worship through song/music.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish

• Knowledge of Scripture and worship theology

• Basic knowledge of music theory and practice (preferably plays the guitar and sings)

• Management ability

• Recruiting skills and Leadership development

• Vision casting

• A member of The Summit Church or willing & able to become a member

Responsibilities

• Lead worship at Spanish Campus of The Summit Church

  • Supports the vision and leadership of the Summit Church and Spanish Campus Leadership

  • Leads worship through song/music at weekly worship gatherings (Sundays right now)

  • Leads worship and or finds volunteers to lead worship at Spanish events like prayer nights

• Build, disciple, and manage campus worship team

  • Encourage team members and strengthen community and relationships among them

  • Disciple individual team members

  • Recruiting and auditioning prospective team members

• Leading and coaching preparations for weekly worship gatherings

  • Prayerfully personalizing and executing weekly worship plans using Planning Center, Multitracks, and other tools

  • Coordinating details with pastoral and production staff

  • Musical and technical preparations

  • Spiritual and liturgical preparations

  • Coaching expressiveness

• Arranging music and helping with the translation of songs

• Recruits new vocals and musician volunteers

  • Uses audition process filtering not just through talent but also character

• Leader development

  • Identifying and developing volunteer team and lay leadership participation

  • Identifying potential worship leaders

• Support and contribute to relevant staff teams and Summit Worship gatherings at large

  • Contributing to church-wide events, campus events, and Summit Worship projects

• Support Campus Pastor with First Time Guests follow up and Member Care

  • Contacting FTGs and providing them with resources and next steps for integration to our church

  • Assisting with praying and caring for members (help sick visits, take them a meal, contact them)
