The Recruiter serves to recruit qualified individuals for opportunities of employment with TVFCU through various channels such as online job postings, off-site job fairs, employee referrals, and networking. The Recruiter performs the full-cycle recruiting process to include: posting job openings, performing initial screening of applicants, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and completing onboarding processes. The Recruiter is also responsible for coordination of TVFCU specific job fairs. 


  • Post internal and external job vacancies. 
  • Screen applications and resumes using our Applicant Tracking Software program.
  • Conduct pre-screening phone interviews to assess job qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews, whether in-person or virtually.
  • Manage candidate activity and flow of information in the applicant tracking system.
  • Maintain open, positive, and timely communication with candidates and generate correspondence. 
  • Administer all applicable candidate pre-employment credit, background screening and reference checks.
  • Fosters hiring decisions and deliver job offers. Contact candidates not selected.
  • Work directly with hiring managers to meet staffing objectives. 
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans through the use of internal and external sourcing methods to assure a constant influx of qualified candidates. 
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates for vacancies. 
  • Ensure that all legal requirements for employment and compliance are met by keeping informed of changes and by implementing the necessary practices/programs to meet the changes. 
  • Coordinate and represent TVFCU at area job fairs. 
  • Develop and maintain statistical information on recruiting process, which provides data for trend analysis and problem identification. 
  • Generates and maintains relationships with area workforce program managers to assist in filling vacancies.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Proactively demonstrate the TVFCU core values of integrity, honesty, flexibility, teamwork, leadership, accountability and strong relationships in every interaction with members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous staffing/interviewing experience in a customer service environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work on a regular predictable basis with flexibility to meet interviewing schedule needs of potential applicants.
  • Must have analytical skills and demonstrated decision-making ability.
  • Ability to develop and maintain a professional relationship with the management team and employees by ensuring a sense of mutual trust, respect and teamwork.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to develop plans and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task. Sense of urgency.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
