SUMMARY:  Responsible for all credit analysis, underwriting, and loan processing tasks for consumer loans submitted by dealers and branches.   

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Promote positive attitude and provide exceptional customer service to customers and co-workers. Embraces 1SB Core Values and leads by example.
• Review, assessing, and analyzing all aspects of consumer loan requests within the 1^st Security Bank Consumer Lending Loan underwriting guidelines.
• Communicate loan decisions to dealers and branches, resolves issues with individual loan files, answer questions about loan programs and lending in general, and in all cases seeks to best serve our customers.
• Maintains an up to date knowledge of and adheres to the requirements related to policies, procedures, rules and regulations required for the position. 
• Maintains average decision turn-around times to meet management, dealer and branch expectations.
• Reviews loan agreements, purchase orders, property information, income verification, and other loan documents for accuracy and to identify exceptions to policy and guidelines. 
• Assigned higher lending limits: up to $75,000 secured; $30,000 unsecured.
• Ensures that all documentation standards and underwriting conditions have been met and noted.
• Possess the Analyst skills and knowledge to work independently; making decisions without constant management oversite.
• Assumes responsibility for other duties as required or assigned.       

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Associate’s degree or equivalent and strong analytical skills and demonstrated credit analysis proficiency including analysis of applicant financials, tax returns, income verification, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years of Analyst experience in a financial institution.  Strong knowledge of auto, marine, personal, lines of credit, and fixture/home improvement loans. 
• Advanced knowledge of all applicable Regulations that pertain to this position is required.
• Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies. Knowledge of the Military Lending Act, Reg. B, Reg. Z and general Analyst procedures and related regulations.
• Must possess a valid Washington State driver’s license.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced skills in Microsoft Office Products, be able to type 45+ WPM, and possess 10-key/computer experience.
