QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
- Master's Degree in Social Work with clinical licensures in both MD and DC (LCSW/LICSW)
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of experience in foster care services delivery system, preferably in Virginia
- 1+ years of experience in supervision and staff development
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- A personal vehicle or access to a vehicle is a plus
- DC/MD/VA CPS
- DC/MD/VA and FBI Criminal Histories
- Successfully pass background and drug screenings
- Physical and TB Test
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Knowledge of the United States Resettlement Program;
- Ability to supervise a diverse staff;
- Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communication skills; strong public speaking/presentation skills;
- Proficient in MS Office suite, Email-Google mail a plus, Windows 7;
- Attention to detail and accuracy; strong organizational skills;
- Ability to promote professional growth for program staff;
- Knowledge of community resources and services systems;
- General knowledge of fiscal management;
- Ability to operate and manage a culturally diverse workplace;
- Fluency in one or more of the follow languages preferred – French, Krio (or other West African language), Faris or Arabic.
