The Team:
Our Production Engineering Team is tasked with supporting all functions of daily operation within the factory, as well as provides support to our External Operations teams.

The Role:
Provide work direction and guidance to production process support, equipment maintenance and calibration, facilities, RMA, and electronic technicians supporting the Lewiston or Winona Campus operations of Riverside Integrated Solutions. Assess personnel needs and maintain staff commensurate with workload.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

You will spend your time:

  • Maintain a staff as needed to appropriately support operations
  • Provide work direction for staff
  • Participate in customer visits, audits, corrective actions, and satisfaction initiatives
  • Research, justify, and propose the procurement of equipment, tooling, and software
  • Provide performance feedback to direct reports
  • Develop/improve company work instructions and procedures maintaining ISO 9000 compliance with an emphasis on corporate alignment
  • Collaborate with production leadership on process improvements and production floor layouts
  • Participate in sales activities related to new business opportunities
  • Participate in management meeting and reviews
  • Meeting regularly with staff in other departments and locations to assure that corporate level processes and systems are aligned as much as possible.
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Managing one's own time and the time of others.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate and assist in RMA warranty, line returns, customer upgrades, service and reverse logistics – RCCM Investigations, Disposition, physical tear down and/or dissection.
  • Oversee the documenting of all scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM’s) using corporate procedures
  • Explore options for Implementation of Automated and/or Computer controlled equipment
  • Oversee the installation of new equipment, verifying set up and operation using appropriate procedures.
  • Providing support as required on Production and Engineering builds.
  • Managing projects for fixtures and/or tooling to support Production and Engineering builds to include utilization of 3D Printing.

  • Principles and processes that aid in or improve the customer experience. This includes improvements related to customer feedback, meeting quality standards, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Hardware and Software knowledge to include, but not limited to: CAD, ERP/MRP, Testers, Databases, etc.
  • Understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints,
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Refrigeration, infrastructure/facilities, compressor, grounds
  • Ability to travel (car, plane, etc.) as needed.

 

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent
  • Five years of experience in manufacturing
  • Five years of experience in a leadership role
  • Experience with lean and 6-sigma
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

 

Travel:

  • This position will travel between the Lewiston and Winona facilities.
  • Infrequent travel for trainings and/or business needs may be required.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, kneeling
  • Ability to walk, stand, and sit
  • Lifting up to 30 pounds

 

Work Environment:

  • Office setting
