We are looking for a dedicated and driven Senior Financial Analyst/ Finance Manager to join our team! This position will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. As a member of the Finance team, you will be integral in efficiently scaling our fast growing business. You’ll build reports, financial models and processes to support a wide range of financial planning and analysis. The ideal candidate is a team player who possesses deep analytical skills; critical thinking, and enjoys solving complex business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Pricing, Trade, Cost of Goods, Inventory, and Distribution costs are recorded properly in financial statements

  • Work with channel leads to provide visibility and manage Trade spend to achieve or exceed Net Sales Budget and Forecast

  • Provide the necessary level of analysis and recommendations to CFO and supporting teams to drive efficient and effective trade spend

  • Embed financial responsibility and accountability in the Sales Organization

  • Provide timely and relevant financial analysis / reporting for proper decision making at the leadership level to drive higher margins that budget/forecast

  • Lead budgeting and forecasting process for Volume, Trade, Cost of Goods & Distribution costs by item and division

  • Partner with Direct or Sales in Goal Setting process for Sales / Trade and Standard Margin by account and Channel

  • Drive Annual Standard Margin goal setting and variance analysis Monthly by Customer

  • Identify Risks and Opportunities to maximize Net Sales with Channel leads

  • Lead promotional effectiveness and recommend changes to improve profitability

  • Drive process of evaluating new customer and item profitability via Pro forma P&Ls and making recommendations in path toward profitability

  • Own pricing and costing controls in Netsuite, as well ad driving dispute resolution with pricing errors and credit memos

  • Partner with the Director of Supply Chain on analytics within manufacturing and supply chain understanding key variances to budget and prior year

  • Own quarterly review on COGS changes identifying opportunities for improvement, breaking out item, product format, and cost components (raw, packaging, tolling).

  • Drive tracking of ongoing cost saving initiatives by building monthly scorecards and identifying opportunities with the Director of Supply chain and CFO

  • Own analytics across the organization and streamline others to utilize Tableau and netsuite for the one source of truth.

  • Develop KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports for the company’s core business and other business segments

  • Assist in the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded within Cost of Goods Sold, Distribution, Inventory, and Deferred Revenue. Ensure all accruals are accounted for resulting in accurate financial reporting.

  • Create accurate reporting on Product Profitability by identifying gross to net rates, Cost of goods and distribution costs by SKU and product category

  • Drive Quarterly Customer and Channel income statement reviews on a quarterly basis with the Management team to drive customer and channel profitability improvements.

  • Own month end variance analysis of contribution margin including components of Trade, Pricing, COGS variances, Distribution, and Product/Divisional Mix

  • Ability to summarize and provide concrete recommendations to improve profitability or drive revenue regularly with the executive leadership team

  • Assist in establishing internal controls surrounding the tasks performed within operations, customer and item setup

  • Support annual Audit with 3rd party CPA firm including Tax preparation

Professional Experience and Qualifications

  • BA or BS with an emphasis in Accounting and/or Finance

  • Minimum 4 years of general accounting/finance or equivalent experience

  • Combination of public accounting firm experience and private industry experience a strong plus

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP

  • Must be very detail oriented

  • Must have a thorough understanding of the General Ledger and Trial Balance

  • Ability to formulate and implement well thought out solutions to day-to-day issues with minimal supervision

  • Team player that can thrive in a fast paced environment

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality work

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite: (Excel, Word and Outlook), experience in Google Sheets a plus

  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills required

  • Netsuite experience a plus
