The ideal Foundry Accounts Manager will maintain existing accounts, develop new accounts, and coordinate with the sales team. A successful account manager should have excellent communication and relationship-building skills as well as the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement all sales activities of the Foundry to produce the targeted sales number within the guidelines of the Foundrys policies and strategic plan
  • Be the main point of contact for all customer questions, inquiries, RFQs, orders, and receivables
  • Assists in the development of the Foundrys strategic plan together with the annual sales budget
  • Develop and maintain visibility in the casting community and the marketplaces in which castings are sold and present a positive and professional image of the Foundry
  • Develop incremental business with existing customers
  • Conduct market research activities to identify potential customers
  • Conduct sales activities including prospecting, follow up of leads, referrals, and contacts, quoting, making presentations, and closing sales
  • Attend trade shows, conventions, seminars, and industry trade group meetings to enhance professional knowledge and promote the Foundry
  • Remain in contact with established customers to ensure their satisfaction with the companys services and to promote additional sales
  • Develop systems or procedures for follow through on leads, contacts, and commitments
  • Maintain and develop list of current and prospective customers
  • Provide regular weekly / monthly reports on sales activities and results to keep the Director of Sales Heating & Foundry Products informed
  • Perform regular customer feedback requests as outlined by the Director of Sales Heating & Foundry Products
  • Keep informed of competitors selling policies, tactics, services, and pricing
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Ensure proper follow-up is being done on quotes and orders
  • Perform an and all other duties as assigned by the Director of Sales Heating & Foundry Products
  • Associates or bachelors degree in related field or 5 years experience of relevant industry experience
  • Competency using Microsoft Office Suite and Global Shop Solutions
  • Must have the ability to use basic mathematical calculations; (add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentage, fractions, decimals, etc.)
  • Excellent technical and communication skills
  • Ability to understand and read drawings
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Respects the rights and views, and works effectively as a team, with all RoMan employees
  • Travel 20% of the time
