Description

The Seasonal Specialist is responsible for assisting with the implementation of product sales strategies and campaigns that support girls, parents, and volunteers. This specialist plays a key role in ensuring accurate data entry, excellent customer care, timely cookie distribution, and inventory distribution and reconciliation.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the product program department with on-site coordination of the council cookie cupboard, inventory management, and money collection
  • Provide excellent customer service to troop volunteers and parents, responding to customer inquiries and completing all necessary documentation
  • Manage onsite cookie inventory ensuring reserved orders take priority
  • Support off-site, volunteer run inventory sites through the use of council vehicles
  • Manage cookie orders and excess inventory on hand, utilizing inventory tracking sheets in Excel
  • Update volunteer information in Smart Cookies, the cookie management platform, on a daily basis to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Stage reserved orders by scheduled pick-up day with prefilled paperwork
  • Assist with cookie program reconciliation
  • Assist with the distribution of cookie rewards and incentives
  • Provide a variety of customer service tasks to support the annual cookie program

 

Qualifications

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess a can-do attitude
  • Strong computer user skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel and ability to learn new systems
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have high level of interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrate a commitment to recognize and respect the many forms of diversity
  • An understanding of the Girl Scouts mission, goals, values and programs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to lift and carry 30 pounds, including repetitive movement of cookie cases

WORK HOUR/TRAVEL

  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed and travel as required utilizing council vehicles

OTHER

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status unless a qualifying exemption is needed
  • Valid California driver’s license, a clean driving record, and proof of insurance
  • Schedule requirements may change during height of cookie program
