We’re on a mission to bring boardgames to the world and unite families & friends through their love of play!  With more than 2300 people in 20 offices across the planet and 20 creative studios, we’re looking to expand our team to push our games to an ever-growing audience. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong communication skills and great knowledge of Organized Play on multiple products, to meticulously plan and execute our Group OP strategy that positively stimulates our player base, within an industry where word of mouth and recommendation are key. 

 

Summary of Position

As an Organized Play Manager, you’ll belong to a team that will ensure the execution of the Organized Play strategy for multiple games and studios. Your mission will be to participate to the design and execution of all our activities, events and plans related to Organized Play. You will work in close relationship with our Countries, with our Studios, and with our Central teams.

 

Essential Functions

  • Design, and execution of our Organized Play activities for more than 20 different games from the Asmodee catalog, with our Central Event Team.
    • Design and running of our OP Booth during major trade shows and events like the GenCon (USA), Adepticon (USA), or Spiel (Germany). For each game a different OP. Your knowledge of games, OP, and creativity will be at play here.
    • Event Staff management that includes planning, relationship with external agencies, and training.
  • Maintain and improve all the existing Organized Play structures (for some of our most famous miniature and card games) in full collaboration with the designing Studios.
    • Event outline creation destined to our executing partners.
    • Ground Rules elaboration and maintenance with the goal in mind to ensure consistency and integrity to all our activities.
  • Tracking & Reporting:
    • Pro-actively stay in contact with all our partner entities, both internally and externally to maintain a complete and comprehensive database of KPIs.
    • Analyze and reflect on our KPIs, with the team, with the goal of improving all our activities.
    • Report on events, internally.
    • Report on your activities regularly to your direct manager.

 

Education, Experience & Minimum Qualifications

  • Able to work in complete autonomy and in full transparency.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and tracking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure during major events and trade shows.
  • During events, ability to spend 10 hours engaging in physical activities (lifting, moving boxes, setting up game tables, signages, packing event material, etc).
  • Project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and communicate on issues encountered.
  • Strong knowledge in organized play and in the core players’ audience.
  • Fluent English is mandatory. Fluent in German or French is a plus.
  • Expert in board games, card games, and/or miniature games is a plus.
  • Basic PC software proficiency (Microsoft Office minimum). Photoshop is a plus.
  • Able and willing to travel, mainly to France, USA and Germany, but not limited to these countries.
