DevOps Engineer 

 

X2O is a fast-growing collaboration and communication company building with the latest and greatest tools and practices. We are looking for a talented individual who thrives on modern toolsets, and who is interested in working in a rapid-moving, challenging cloud environment. The individual will be involved in every aspect of the X2O platform and developer experience and will have a strong impact on the technologies and stacks chosen. The X2O DevOps team is a cross-functional unit that regularly provides expertise and support to software development and product specialists in all manners of challenging questions regarding infrastructure, security, identity management and best practices. If you have a strong desire to help a cloud platform evolve in every aspect, love clean and clear command-line tools, and have a solid software engineering background, we want to meet you.

 

Core Responsibilities:

 

  • Building and deploying software development tools, across all X2O software teams
  • Building and deploying automation tools and services for infrastructure and X2O SaaS products
  • Taking part in the selection of technological stacks and framework
  • Improving and expanding automation in the cloud
  • Maintaining clear and complete documentation
  • Providing guidance on software project packaging and deployment
  • Extend the infrastructure-as-code practice at X2O by developing custom modules and providers
  • Build custom software images (Docker and operating systems)
  • Deploy new resources to X2O infrastructure
  • Assist in software deployment/patch tracking
  • Manage package repositories
  • Build reusable software libraries and command-line tools to speed-up and standardize practices
  • Develop custom software services for managing/scaling the X2O infrastructure
Basic & Preferred Qualifications:
  • BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field required
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience is required.
  • Bilingual (French/English)
  • Very strong C#/.net skills
  • Solid knowledge of Windows and Ubuntu Linux
  • Strong Docker experience
  • Microsoft Azure experience
  • Terraform experience
  • Powershell experience
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Open mind and curious, adaptability

 

Considered a plus:

 

  • Experience within test-driven development environments
  • Node.js experience
