FOUNDRY SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER

The ideal Senior Quality Engineer will be a motivated individual that performs all duties required in this role, but not limited to:

• Non-Ferrous Foundry Technical leader to drive the technical enablement of our foundry customers through early engagement (APQP), technology evaluation and successful product design implementation
• Partner seamlessly with the Sales Foundry Director to cultivate strong customer relationships, trust and devise winning strategies to achieve overall account level business success based in Quality Product
• APQP implementation
• Technical leader that supports Plant decisions of Plant Manager
• Manager of Quality with demonstrated ability to organize product inspection and apply Foundry quality control techniques; first article inspections, measurements device control
• Good supervisory skills to manage internal Inspector
• Able to travel to support customers
• Implement new improvement techniques to raise control and detection elimination of escapes to customers
• Internal 5s Leader that follows and implements RoMans CI guidelines
• Run and Rate capability studies for current and new equipment
• Customer specification negotiation
• The Quality Manager works with Romans Senior Quality Manager to implement RoMan mandates, programs and Quality Roadmap in the Foundry
• Attention to detail
• Convey a positive image of the company in all actions and behaviors
• Take initiative and accept responsibility for job assignments/duties
• Have regular and reliable attendance as well as punctuality

• 5 or more years of Non-Ferrous Foundry technical experience: Sand Castings and Permanent Molding
• Knowledge of AFS Quality core BOK desirable
• Quality management experience desirable
• Practical knowledge of measurement Devices
