Essential Tasks or Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Confer with clients and project managers to understand project concept and requirements.
  • Site survey, site analysis.
  • Sketch and rough draft conceptual landscape designs.
  • Prepare graphic representations of proposed plans using computer-aided design software.
  • CAD development for projects including Site Plans, Demolition Plans, Materials Plans, Dimensioning Plans, Grading and Drainage Plans, Planting Plans, Section Details, Elevations Details, and Isometric Details.
  • Organize and maintain CAD files on all projects.
  • Estimate and bid a project.
  • Works closely with Install/Design Department Head and Project Managers, assisting senior architects on all their job-related needs.
  • Occasionally communicate with clients to assist the project manager in presenting the overall concept and answering relevant questions.

Qualifications for the Job:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, or Associate degree in Landscape Design, or similar degree, or 2-5 years in similar role
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient with computer aided design software such as Sketch Up, Revit, Lumion
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of construction industry materials (such as hardscape, plant material selections, irrigation, lighting) is preferred
