Position Summary: 

The Finance Intern is responsible for supporting the objectives of the Enterprise Finance and Business Development team. This position will join a team of financial analysts in Northeast Minneapolis that provide financial support for the entire Bio-Techne family. They will work on core financial planning & analysis (FP&A) activities such as daily sales analysis, annual budgeting, monthly expense variance analysis, and quarterly business presentations. Additionally, the summer Intern may assist with SEC reporting, including the preparation of the annual report.

The Intern will also enhance their information system knowledge with the development, validation and execution of reporting related projects such as new report development, system enhancements/fixes, template creation and data management to meet the company’s growing reporting needs.

Candidates will be highly detail-oriented, enjoy working on multiple projects at once, possess excellent communication skills, thrive when working with data, able to analyze results and understand the key drivers of our business.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Student, studying Business, Finance or Accounting
  • Completion of 6 semesters of University or College level coursework
  • Basic understanding and experience with Excel
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Able to commit to a schedule and work 40 hours weekly June through Mid-August
  • Possibility of continuing with role into the school year, with a reduced/flexible work schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft AX, JET, HFM and Power BI
