The Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic will safely and efficiently perform installation, preventative maintenance, diagnostic work, and repair on equipment/systems that are critical to the press, post-press/mailroom, and related operations and facilities. Maintain, continue and improve maintenance PM programs.

Working Conditions:
Climate- controlled manufacturing environment. May require irregular hours, on-call availability and support based on production needs. Must be able to work in a standing position throughout an entire shift.
Maintenance Electrician/Mechanic Essential Job Functions (Full Description):
- Performs tasks in a safe and efficient manner, addressing safety issues and deficiencies as the top priority.
- Have a full understanding of the production equipment’s capabilities, with strong troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance abilities; high sense of urgency to logically and economically troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify break downs in a timely manner to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
- Maintain production equipment within manufacturer’s specifications.
- Proficiency in reading electrical/mechanical diagrams and blueprint drawings.
- Capable of properly installing specialized equipment, lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, conduit, wiring, and phones as needed.
- Show strong mechanical skills and the ability to learn machine shop equipment
- Operate power tools and other specialized electrical equipment.
- Good communication skills to work effectively with the Maintenance Manager, maintenance team, and other departments.
- Highly skilled in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance, with additional competencies to address mechanical issues as needed.
- Possess the drive and initiative to develop skills required to reliably and autonomously support a 24/7 operation.
- Display self-motivation and vision for continual improvement in the operation

Machines/Tools/Equipment:
- A Variety of equipment throughout the production department (Pre-Press, Post-press & Packaging Distribution Center) such as Image Setters/Processors, Plate-Makers, Presses, Inserters, Stitcher/Trimmers, etc.
- Proficiency with both power and non-power hand tools (drills, saws, wrenches, etc.).
- Electrical diagnostic tools.
