Brand strategist, account planner, marketing strategist — whatever the title, we’re looking for a versatile player to join our team. Do you struggle to explain what you do each day because it is so varied, it depends on the day, and no two days are really alike? We’re expanding our insights team and we’re looking for a brand strategist to help our internal teams and clients in a variety of ways. Be a teacher and trainer, a facilitator, a strategist, a writer, a researcher, a storyteller. In this role you’ll work to support account management, creative, strategic communications, digital, and other teams across the agency.



Responsibilities:

 

  • Helps clients define their brands by leading branding workshops and developing brand messaging and strategies

  • Helps guide/lead marketing planning meetings

  • Helps determine research requirements and designs surveys, discussion guides, and other research activities

  • Supports creative teams with well-written briefs and audience insights

  • Cultivates relationships with clients

  • Partners with leadership to generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client success and growth, keeping the agency and its clients aware of marketing trends and the implications for the business 

  • Assists in development of RFP/opportunity response strategies and customizes capabilities presentations

  • Supports internal initiatives to help the agency grow the business and the skills of its associates

  • Makes sense of disparate or incomplete information and develops a compelling story or perspective

Requirements:
  • Curious mind and willingness to learn

  • Comfort presenting in groups and influencing/persuading others 

  • Strong writing skills

  • 10+ years of insight/strategy or client leadership experience (depending on level hired, could go as low as 5+ years)

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related subject

  • Marketing agency experience

  • Skilled in developing marketing plans, new business proposals, pitch decks and other proposal presentations

  • Skilled in providing strong brand stewardship for clients throughout relationship

  • Skilled in growing client relationships

  • Knowledge of research methodologies

  • Willingness/ability to travel as needed
