Two Rivers Marketing is looking for an art director to join our creative team. This individual will work hand in hand with a team of designers and writers to create printed and digital materials to serve a wide variety of marketing and advertising needs for the agency’s mix of leading B2B and B2C clients. This individual must be capable of handling jobs that require heavy conceptual work up front, leading day-to-day projects, participating in client presentations, and, when necessary, providing solid direction and guidance when selecting print, photography, and other vendors.


Think strategically: As an art director, you provide the artistic approach to a clients’ desire, and their ultimate goal is to sell a product. Art directors have to envision and work in tandem with others to brainstorm a winning idea.


Bring your creativity: Having an eye for design elements and proper overall style is a necessary quality for an art director position. The art director produces creative expressions that support a defined strategy if one exists and helps to define a strategy if it doesn’t. They must know what is possible given the clients’ budget, as well as which styles and colors are effective for an advertising strategy.


Communicate, then communicate: As an art director, you need to have solid communication skills. You are part of a team both within the agency and with your clients. Art directors must know how to convey information in an efficient and understandable manner. They must also cultivate a positive and open environment that allows their team members to express new ideas and make contributions of their own.


Manage your time: An art director, you will work on multiple projects at once and encounter various differing priorities. Being able to balance them efficiently means ensuring the delivery of high-quality products while adhering to strict deadlines.

  • 3+ years of graphic design experience
  • Degree in design, advertising, or related field, preferably in an advertising agency environment
  • Ability to present creative concepts with team support and interact with client contacts
  • Strong written, oral, and visual communications skills
  • Computer literacy, Macintosh (Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
