Assistant Director of Outplacement

Manhattan Campus

The Windward School is actively recruiting for an Assistant Director of Outplacement for our Westchester Middle School. This newly created role will report to the Associate Head of School for Enrollment Management and will support the Director of Outplacement with the increased number of students with outplacement needs.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Take notes during Outplacement meetings to become familiar with outplacement process and schools
  • Communicate with parents regarding the school application process via, phone, email and in-person meetings
  • Visit, re-visit, and research various public, independent, and boarding schools to gain knowledge of curriculum and programs available
  • Begin to cultivate relationships with Admission Directors and Guidance Counselors
  • Participate in annual Outplacement Information Session for 7th grade parents
  • Conduct mock interviews with students
  • Review teacher recommendation letters
  • Provides thoughtful communication to Alumni parents/ guardians concerning school decisions and support
  • Eloquently and consistently express the mission, vision, and core values of The Windward School
  • Work closely with Director of Outplacement with regards to the needs of the Department
  • Attend bi-annual ISAAGNY meeting for Admissions and Placement
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Outplacement and/or the Associate Head of School for Enrollment Management.
