Chemical Dependency Services

The Chemical Health Professional – LADC  will provide clinical treatment counseling and case management to women as part of the Family Treatment Team in Avivo’s licensed 245G treatment program.  This unique program allows pregnant and parenting mothers (with children up to age 17) to enter treatment as a family. This counselor  will work as part of the multi-disciplinary Family Treatment Team, consisting of peer support, family case management, child development and mental health support for both the women and children Schedule: Monday/Tuesday 8:00 - 5:30, Wednesday 8:00 - 4:00, Thursday 8:00 - 7:00 and Friday 8:00 - 12:00pm.


Avivo Recovery Services Division provides a continuum of integrated services, including access, clinical treatment, care coordination and recovery support. We provide services that are innovative, person centered, strength based, and outcome driven.   • As a licensed alcohol and drug counselor, help moms that are pregnant, or parenting begin their journey towards recovery.
  • Develop and facilitate educational groups to support growth as parents.
  • Facilitate groups with the children to help them feel supported.
  • Participate in the team facilitation of Celebrating Families and have the opportunity to work with the family as a whole.
  • Provide both individual and group treatment sessions, enhancing clinical services,
  • Support clients from diverse backgrounds and ensure programming is culturally responsive utilizing best practices.  
  • Actively participate in Avivo’s trauma informed care initiative.
  • Employ a holistic approach including promoting health and wellness activities with participants. 
  • Provide services that meet professional and ethical standards.
  • Develop treatment plans, engage and motivate participants in working toward recovery goals. 
  • Continuously exercises good judgment in handling participant issues and represents organization with a positive and professional image.
  • Utilize Electronic Health Records, and ensure documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure service coordination for care and services within Avivo and community-based agencies.
  • Provide public relations and outreach to community agencies.
  • Attend meetings, supervision, and trainings as required.
  • Manage miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as needed.




Seeking a professional that is either:

A) Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), OR

B) Dually Licensed: Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Licensed Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LP, LMFT, and LPCC) or licensing candidate (Strongly Desired)

  • Must be licensed and in compliance with the appropriate licensure board, i.e. Board of Behavioral Health & Therapy, Board of Social Work, Board of Marriage and Family Therapy, or another licensing board.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting.
  • Training and experience in individual and group facilitation.  Experience in Rule 245G services helpful.
  • Experience with an electronic health record. Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team member with coworkers and referral sources.
  • Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organization and time management skills.
  • Experience and / or training in Trauma Informed care helpful.
  • 2 years or more freedom from substance abuse problems.

WAGES: $46,742 - $58,427 per year, DOQ
