Noritz has been an innovator in the water heater industry for over 60 years. We introduced the first modern, electronically controlled tankless water heater in 1981 and remain the leader in energy savings and superior hot water delivery today.

Noritz America is looking for an Accounting and Finance Administrator for their office in Fountain Valley, CA. This position will be working remotely during this time and is responsible for assisting accounts payable activities. These activities include processing payments to vendors by receiving, processing, verifying, and coding invoices, as well as other accounting-related duties.

Essential Duties:

Performs Accounts Payable activities such as

  • Enters bills from vendors; verifies the content of bills; double checks all bills including Pro-card rebate and gas rebate, co-op, JTB & others.
  • Enter Commission AP vouchers, create commission reports & NRS reclass, email to sales reps
  • Follows up by phone, fax, and e-mail on pending accounts payables to reconcile with vendors
  • Performs invoice scanning, GL coding, uploads Invoice journal from AP solution software to ERP systems
  • Issue co-op credit memo, related-party invoices
  • Make credit card payments to vendors
  • Post Supply Vendor invoices & add any Misc. charge
  • Processes payment proposal for weekly check run (Friday) & mailing
  • Check & reissue 180 days or older outstanding checks
  • Manage Positive Pay, Cancelled Check Reissue
  • Expense reports: due date notification, check receipts & categories & dimensions, reimbursement report to HR
  • Obtains W-9 from new vendor & file 1099
  • Support some tax-related items: sales & use tax, business property tax
  • Others: filing, document retention, support team on various tasks & reports

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Coordinates other administration activities including postage and post office
  • Seeks more efficient and less expensive ways in work processes to contribute toward the company’s overall profit
  • Researches and develops resources that create a timely and efficient workflow
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by senior management
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to management for solution
  • Maintains good communication with senior management, office staff members, and outside contacts
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area by participating in all aspects of the 5S program

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or minimum one-year related accounting/finance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Ability:

  • Basic Algebra and Geometry.
  • Fractions, percentages, ratios, discounts, interest, commissions, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
