We ensure every student the opportunity and the means to achieve excellence and preparation for advanced education through purposeful academic and residential programs.


Girard College seeks an experienced and full time Studio Art Teacher for grades 6 - 8 for beginning September 2022.  Our teacher will need to teach scientific content and skills, but also inspire a genuine love and appreciation for Art.  The program is recently implemented as a sequential and developmentally appropriate curriculum, aligned to provide a strong foundation for our program in grades 7-12. This position reports to the Elementary/Middle School Academic Dean.

  • Reinforcing school-wide expectations and volunteering to take on additional activities as needed to improve school academics and culture.

Educational Background and Minimum Requirements:


  • Teaching experience highly preferred with a proven record of high achievement
  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in Education, in the specific core content job area
  • Currently possess or be eligible for State of Pennsylvania teaching certification
  • This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
