POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Manger oversees and manages projects that support ECRIs business leaders with advancing ECRIs mission and vision. Additional area of focus includes working with business leaders to identify and plan future projects to complete, including conducting, assessing, and supporting departmental needs assessments, supporting the development and maintenance of project life cycles, and creating and/or supporting the development of project goals and metrics. The Project Manager will serve in a matrixed capacity and have the opportunity to interact and work with a multitude of business units in various healthcare disciplines.

Essential Functions Statement(s):

  • Oversee and manage projects that support ECRIs business leaders, including, but not limited to:
    • Project Management:
      • Responsible for the oversight and management of assigned projects, including:
        • Creating a project plan that meets the defined project scope and key deliverables.
        • Creating a reporting mechanism that provides key project reporting metrics to key stakeholder to ensure that all goals and outcomes are being met to ECRI and client standards.
        • Leading key stakeholder meetings, as needed.
    • Financial Management:
      • Responsible for the oversight and management of assigned project finances, including:
        • Ensuring that the expenditures of the project stay within the defined budget created and agreed upon by Finance and the business leaders.
        • Compiling and reporting on internal and external project expenditures to key stakeholders
        • Managing contractor project expenses in Concur, as applicable.
    • Resource Allocation:
      • Ensure that the appropriate resources are allocated to meet project goals and deliverables, including:
        • Identifying and assigning Project Coordinators and/or Administrative Specialists, with the approval of the Director, Enterprise Services, to assist and support projects.
        • Identifying subject matter experts, including contractors, to support and participate in projects.
        • Ensuring that subject matter experts profiles and curriculum vitae (CVs) assigned to projects are up to date and accurate, as needed.
  • Work with and support business leaders in future project planning, including:
    • Conducting, assessing, and supporting departmental needs assessments.
    • Supporting the development and maintenance of project life cycles (planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery).
    • Creating and/or supporting the development of project goals and metrics.
  • Work with business leaders and applicable support functions in the onboarding and off-boarding of ECRI consultants and contractors, including the facilitation of legal agreements, pre-onboarding procedures, etc.
  • Support business leaders with opportunity management in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including opportunity entry and phase management.
  • Support business leaders with stakeholder reporting and metrics monitoring.
  • Create and document processes and workflows, including managing workflows in ECRI tools, to drive consistency across designated projects and business units that you support.
  • Identify opportunities for and improve processes in designated projects and business units that you support.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  • 2 4 years experience in project management is required.
  • 1 2 years experience in process management and improvement is required.
  • 1 - 2 years experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting, including spreadsheet development and maintenance is required.
  • Experience with budgeting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting is preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization is desired.
  • Experience in project management in the healthcare industry is desired.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent writing and analysis skills.
  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple competing priorities in a timely manner.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree required, preferably in business administration or relevant field.
  • Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) is desired.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with:
    • Microsoft Office Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Virtual conferencing software (e.g., Microsoft Teams and Zoom).
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Microsoft Dynamics (or other Customer Relationship Management system) is required.
  • Experience with Power Automate and Atlassian products is preferred.

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Project Management Professional and/or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications is desired.
