If this sounds like you, Eisner Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Supervisor to join our Pediatric team! This position offers a fulfilling role where you can build meaningful relationships with your team, patients, and their families. You will have the chance to watch children thrive under your care and supervision! As the LVN Supervisor, you will report to the Operations Manager, and you will be responsible for overseeing both the clinical and administrative needs of your department. This position supervises 22 direct reports, including medical assistants, patient registration, and back office.
The position works in an out-patient community clinic setting that provides necessary high-quality health care services to the underserved communities of Los Angeles. The candidate selected for this role will be able to train under the current LVN supervisor who will provide guidance as you acclimate to the organization. This role will require someone who is emotionally intelligent, has experience with pediatric patients, has leadership skills, a knack for problem solving and critical thinking, and excellent communications skills.
Duties:
- In coordination with the department manager; plans, organizes, and directs the department's daily operations.
- Assures continuing education/training of staff.
- In coordination with the department manager; identifies, analyzes and works towards developing solutions of department problems.
- Assists with selection, interviews, and hiring of staff as needed.
- Ensures the completion of department orientation of new employees.
- In collaboration with the department leads, ensures the completion of assigned responsibilities of direct reports.
- In collaboration with the department leads, evaluates staff based on the center’s performance standards.
- In collaboration with the department leads, ensures the completion and continuity of staff scheduling.
- Serves as a subject matter expert and ensures that departmental standards of care, policies, and procedures are followed.
- Participates in supporting preparation for audits.
- Assess department needs and participates in budget meetings, as needed.
- Participates in the development of performance objectives and corrective action plans of direct reports to ensures compliance.
- Places and removes catheters in pediatric patients.
