Description

This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all Pink Jeep Tours buildings and facilities to ensure buildings are in good working order, safe, and presents a positive company image for our guests. The Maintenance Technician will perform some building repairs, ongoing maintenance, and hire contractors when needed for more complex repairs or projects. Company vehicle and tools will be provided.

  • Oversees the general building, grounds and maintenance for all Sedona buildings and facilities
    • Respond to Facilities Ticket requests using the companys tracking system
    • Completes repairs and general maintenance including electrical, plumbing, break/fix items and other repairs within skill-set for all buildings, public restrooms and offices
    • Hires plumbers, electricians, air conditioning, roofing and landscape experts as needed
    • Evaluates work needed, secures bids, hires service providers and ensures accurate billing for services provided
  • Preventative Maintenance
    • Regularly replace air filters and lightbulbs at all buildings, dust AC vents, vacuum refrigeration coils and other appliances to ensure good working order
    • Painting and drywall repairs as needed
    • Seasonal preparation of heat, a/c, and evaporative cooler systems
    • Seasonal preparation and maintenance of ice machine, back-up generator and other essential items for tours
  • Follow up with Management concerns on property conditions and report any action taken if needed
  • Construction Projects
    • Develops concept plans, material costs & proposals and submits purchase orders for approval on construction projects
    • Secures permits as required by city ordinances
    • Makes repair decisions based on company needs and budget restrictions
    • Performs repairs on drywall, concrete, electrical, plumbing, flooring, stucco, siding, and finish carpentry
    • Installs doors, windows, trim, cabinets, flooring, light fixtures and switches, cubicles, toilets, and sinks
    • Hires general contractors and subcontractors as needed; establishes work parameters, secures bids, interviews and hires companies based on skillset, price and timeliness of projects; oversees work being done to ensure it meets company expectations
  • Responsible management of company credit card
    • Adheres to credit card limits and protocol as established by company
    • Submits receipts and accurately records information within the credit card application (Visa Intellilink)
    • Submits purchase orders and receives approval for larger purchases as defined by company
  • Provide additional support for Group Sales when needed for internal and external Special Events; transport tables, chairs, décor, etc. to and from the event site, assist with events
  • Assist Trail Maintenance department for trail repairs when needed and as time allows
  • Demonstrates outstanding teamwork, communication and collaboration
  • Special projects as requested by management

  • Prior experience in construction, landscaping or other building repair & maintenance
  • Effective time management, prioritization and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Construction Skills:
    • Metal fabrication
    • Welding Mig, stick or oxy acetylene
    • Drywall taping and finishing
    • Rough framing, finish carpentry and cabinet installation
    • Plumbing, electrical
    • Flooring - epoxy flooring installation, carpet and tile installation
    • Roofing shingle and elastomeric
    • Painting interior and exterior
    • Concrete finishing - optional
    • Masonry - optional
    • Stucco - optional
  • Strong team player that is self-motivated and takes initiative
  • Ability to motivate, organize, and prioritize workload
  • Proficient computer experience a plus (MS Windows, Word, Excel, Email, CAD drawings)

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to handle basic construction tools
  • Must be able to walk in and around the community to oversee employees at different locations and meet with contractors or service providers as needed
  • This position will involve sitting, standing, lifting, driving, use of power tools and heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to reach overhead, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs
