Top 100 Accounting Firm seeks experienced accounting senior for position in our Client Accounting Services Unit.  This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting processes for our client companies to ensure accurate and timely financial reports are delivered to our clients.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for client work including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, accounts receivable transactions, accounts payable transactions, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.).

  • Analyzes financial information, makes journal entries and determines the most effective means of handling accounting transactions. 

  • Month end close activities, account reconciliations and supporting schedules.

  • Prepares and maintains accounting records for client companies, including but not limited to accounts receivables, accounts payable, inventory, cash disbursements, journal entries for transactions, supporting account schedules.

  • Bank Reconciliation and review of cash applications.

  • Records payroll registers into GL.

  • Reviews accounting documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with GAAP and client business rules.

  • Assist with budgeting and cash projections

  • Preparation of financial statements and other accounting reports which accurately reflect the financial position of the client company.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Job Specifications


  • Requires a BBA/ BBS in finance, accounting or related field.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Requires 5+ years general accounting experience.
  • Requires progressive career path
  • Requires a thorough knowledge of the fundamental theories, doctrines, systems, principles, practices and terminology of accountancy.
  • Experience using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop. System conversion experience a plus. 
  • Intermediate Excel skills including pivot, vlookups, and formulas.
  • Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Must be detail oriented, problem solver who verifies, calculates, and reports a wide variety of data maintaining a high level of accuracy within a short amount of time.
  • Critical thinker who displays ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Organized and team player with ability to work independently and prioritize to meet deadlines.
