Summary: The position of Site Superintendent is responsible for the overall condition of the job site and product installation, including duties outlined in the Site Procedures document. We are looking for someone with Experience in the Material Handling business (such as pallet conveyors, case conveyors, gravity flow conveyors, storage rack systems, PLC controls, Warehouse Management Software, and installations).

 Job Functions:

• Traveling to, opening, and closing the job site
• Managing the job site by working with Westfalia Technologies’ team members and contractors, and reporting back to the home office, customer, supplier, and all other stakeholders
• Provide weekly status and 2 weeks look ahead reports regarding site activities
• Maintaining a daily log of subcontractors and employees on site
• Oversee the job site activities with respect to safety including OSHA requirements, while leading and documenting daily site safety meetings to report deficiencies
• Interact with the customer by representing Westfalia Technologies appropriately and professionally
• Reviewing all shipments for accuracy and quality, and distribution of parts
• Field revisions and mark ups to the drawings
• Directing and verifying/validating the work of subcontractors on site with the objective to keep it on schedule, in cost and within specifications
• Verification of installation tolerances

Required Skills/Abilities:

• 90%+ travel (Travel typically encompasses 14-21 days away at a time)
• Ability to complete reports and follow established site procedures
• Ability to work on multiple tasks at a time

• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and coworkers
• Safety-oriented

 Required Education/Experience:

• 5+ years of Site Superintendent/Project Manager on site experience
• Experience in the Material Handling business (such as pallet conveyors, case conveyors, gravity flow conveyors, storage rack systems, PLC controls, Warehouse Management Software, and installations
• Prior experience in coaching, supervising, staffing, and management
• Previous experience with tracking budget expenses, self-development, and planning

Desired:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Knowledge in the use of transit is a plus
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification
• Construction management experience
• Millwright experience

Physical Requirements:

• Climbing in and around conveyors and racks to perform physical work as needed on the equipment
• Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and active manner
• Must possess visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens 
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
