Job Summary

The Master Scheduler will be responsible for planning, scheduling, developing, and implementing production plans based on purchase order and inventory demands. The Master Scheduler will work closely with shop floor management, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to determine priorities and optimize the production plan based on demand, forecasting, capacity, and available resources.


Job Duties

  • Plan and schedule workflow for various manufacturing departments according to established sequences and lead times.
  • Coordinate and prioritize daily workload based on customer and inventory demands in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Develop and distribute weekly production schedule to manufacturing.
  • Work with planning team and shop floor management to align with production changes and monitor order management.
  • Monitor actual outputs vs the production plan.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to schedule and troubleshoot production tasks.
  • Assist in the testing and implementation of new ERP.
  • Maintain item and production masters in ERP.
  • Actively participate in S&OP meetings and processes.
  • Prepare and present various operations-related reporting.
  • Projects and other duties as assigned or required by Manager.


  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Minimum 5 years Production Control, Planning, or Supply Chain experience.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a fast-paced, complex, machine shop environment.
  • Experience with ERP, MES, and Advanced Planning systems. Infor experience is highly desirable.
  • APICS or CPIM certification preferable.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ERP implementation experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
