Job Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, sustainability, or related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in sustainability and/or corporate social responsibility field required.
  3. Working knowledge of agricultural programs and businesses strongly preferred.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Strong organizational skill and problem-solving skills.
  6. Skills to work independently and effectively in a complex, dynamic work environment, including a virtual/remote format.
  7. Knowledge of or interest in corporate Environmental Social Governance (ESG) issues.
  8. Passion for community and cultural enhancement opportunities.
  9. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  10. Can self-start and make progress independently when given instruction.
  11. Excited to work on projects, which can include quick turnaround times and tight deadlines.
  12. Skilled with Microsoft Office, primarily PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams; SharePoint a plus.
  13. 1+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and/or managing sustainability-based initiatives, processes, or programs involving the collection, analysis and reporting of program data.  Prior experience working in a culturally diverse organization with a working understanding of tribal sovereignty.

 

Job Summary:

In this role, you will join the CSR team to perform a variety of functions in support of our corporate-wide CSR efforts. The Sustainability Coordinator works directly with the Sustainability Manager and Vice President Corporate Social Responsibility and collaboratively with several departments including human resources, quality, sales, logistics, supply chain, and operations to reduce the businesses impact on the environment. Equally important is the role of improving social connectivity with other organizations and communities. Responsibilities include educating the organization about sustainability and coordinating programming and activities related to sustainability, performing research, and annual reporting.

This job will provide an opportunity to work closely with a member of YCH’s Corporate Social Responsibility Team and help drive key strategic initiatives and support essential operational tasks and responsibilities.

Job Duties:

  1. Support CSR Team in creating and maintaining YCH’s monthly, quarterly, annually Sustainability Reporting efforts through organizing and analyzing data, along with other external sustainability disclosures.
    • Reporting covers all planet and people related commitments and performance across YCH and are used by customers and investor groups.
  2. When needed, put together charts and presentations based on data gathered.
  3. Conduct research on corporate climate policies, renewable energy, best practices, and communications.
  4. Update company policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures associated with YCH’s environmental management system.
  5. Conduct site visits of operational facilities to ensue conformance with the environmental management system.
  6. Support coordination and planning of employee engagement campaigns, and other duties as necessary.
  7. Support our employees working to meet corporate responsibility goals, across our campuses.
  8. Support CSR Manager, Vice President Corporate Social Responsibility and HR Team in the planning and execution of upcoming volunteer events.
  9. Schedule meetings and assist CSR Manager prepare planning meetings to discuss CSR Strategy with local and global staff.
  10. Assist YCH growers on sustainability reporting efforts.
  11. Ability to travel to grower facilities in WA, OR, and ID and attend various industry events related to job functions.
  12. Maintain sanitary and safe work environment and follow safety requirements.
  13. May be asked to participate on company’s Safety Committee and/or a company resource group.
  14. Ensure that company safety policies as well as federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations are observed.
  15. Must have a complete understanding of company’s policies, SOPs, QPs, EPs, HACCP and cGMP that pertain to their department to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
  16. Must adhere to all company policies.
  17. Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy and conformance to standards and specifications.
  18. Follow all SOPs in a given area.
  19. Perform all other duties as assigned by the CSR Manager and/or designee.
