Job purpose

As a Manager – Customer Success, you will guide clients through their on-boarding experience with Bennett Thrasher’s accounting services. Successful candidates will have a good working knowledge of accounting principles, Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online. It is the Manager’ responsibility to understand the services the client will have available to them from BT, interpret and organize all the clients existing financial documentation, and capture all the remaining information required from the client to make their deployment to BT successful. This includes ensuring clients can access all tools needed for their engagement.


In this position, it is also necessary to conduct multiple presentations and calls to help credential setup, facilitate an initial orientation of the deployment process, set appropriate client expectations, request documentation, and get the client across the finish line to transition to BT’s accounting services. Ideal candidates will have a focus on being highly organized and exceptional communication skills as they will be the liaison between the firm and its clients


Duties and responsibilities

  • Client Onboarding & Assessment of Services
    • Confirming services being offered to the client through the signed Engagement letter and statements of work
    • Ability to assess clients’ current books and confirm the list of services (included and additional)
    • Work to credential all financial, payroll, sales, and any other system tied to the clients GL accounting software.
  • Client On-boarding Process Management:
    • Deliver and present multiple deployment presentation calls that provide:
      • The orientation of credentialing and demo of any software and services
      • Describe the deployment process, including expectations of the client and timeliness
      • Set agenda and reinforce the services being performed
      • Set cadence for calls and calendar of events with the client
    • Project management for each client onboarding
    • Confirm and persist in getting clients credentialed for services to commence
    • Ensure smooth transition to Accounting team
  • Special Projects
    • As part of the on-boarding process, clients may have special projects that require work prior to hand-off to Accounting Services. Examples include books and records clean-up; conversion to GAAP, creation of financial statements
    • Work with sales and team leadership to scope, price and deliver results prior to transition to accounting team
    • Potentially manage 3rd party resources engaged to help with these special projects


Technical skills

  • Exhibits a high-level understanding of processes
  • Manages project workflow from beginning to end
  • Recognizes potential issues early in the engagement
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge and understanding of analytical tools and technical issues
  • Good knowledge of QBO and Sage Intacct

Qualifications include:

  • Must have a BA in Accounting and/or 7-10 years’ experience in a staff accounting role or higher.
  • Must have a strong understanding of QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct
  • Must have experience in project management, and client success
  • Great project management, time management, and documentation skills
  • Proven delivery of outcomes in client or project-based environments in either a consultative or project management capacity
  • Comfortable demonstrating to and interacting with clients to resolve and understand services they will be consuming
  • Organized and meticulous calendar practices with an ability to bring together matrixed client environments and people
