The National Director of Graduate and Fellowship Programs works to achieve one of Posse’s primary goals – to help Posse Scholars transition from college to leadership positions in the workforce. Reporting to the Associate Vice President and working out of Posse’s headquarters in New York, the Director collaborates with the national leadership team, working particularly closely with the National Director of Career Programs and the National Director of Alumni Programs, to develop and manage programming aimed at identifying and supporting Scholars and alumni interested in pursuing graduate school and fellowship opportunities. They provide direct support to Scholars and alumni, manage volunteers who serve as a resource for Scholars and alumni, and maintain relationships with graduate schools and fellowship organizations. The Director also manages the data related to the graduate school and fellowships program and provides strategic training for Posse staff to accomplish Graduate and Fellowship Program goals collaboratively and collectively. The Director also oversees the Jeff Ubben Posse Fellows Program, including outreach, selection, and ongoing support of Fellows, and manages the Graduate and Fellowship Program Associate to meet the goals of Posse’s Graduate and Fellowship Programs. S/he must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, organized, collaborative, results-oriented, and a strong role model. This position is based in New York City and requires regular, weekly in-office meetings.
