JOB SUMMARY:  This internship provides excellent experience in marketing, including public relations, promotions, special events, sales and guest service.


  • Assist Marketing Manager with the planning and execution of broadcast promotions, media relations, sponsorship events, concerts, festivals, Season Pass program and more.  Including Fright Fest and Luminova events.
  • Provide excellent guest service regarding comments, questions and concerns.  Assist with season pass processing and guest admission when needed.
  • Help write, review and blog articles, web copy, social media content and more.
  • Maintain photo library.
  • Responsible for community donation requests and database.
  • Responsible for a large volume of inbound and outbound sales calls. 
  • Assists in maintaining and updating an accurate file of key sales clients and prospects.
  • Assist with event planning and execution.  This includes working with the sales and catering departments with coordinating events and outings.
  • Communicate event details to all appropriate departments. 
  • Must maintain a clean, safe and professional work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field of study; or be in the process of earning a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms.
  • Able to work independently and with a team.
  • Creative, proactive and an enthusiastic team player with a positive and self-starter attitude!
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Be highly motivated and organized.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and use those skills when dealing with Guests and Team Members. 
  • Must possess oral and written English skills, and must be able to communicate with Guests and other Team Members effectively.
  • May be required to work in various weather conditions.
  • Available August – through January and must be available holidays and weekends.
  • Available to work overtime and have flexible work hours.

  • Requires occasional standing, kneeling and bending. Must be able to sit up for up to eight hours a shift.

  • Requires occasional lifts and carries up to 30 pounds and on occasion carry up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a two-wheel hand truck.
  • Requires manual and bi-manual dexterity, fine and gross motor skills, eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech.
  • Possess normal or average corrected hearing.  (Defined as 25 decibels or better in the frequency range of 500HZ-4000HZ considered normal speech frequency range). (If a corrective device is needed to achieve this range, it must be worn while on duty).
